The NDP is doing better than expected; a poll in The Star yesterday had them almost at the same percentage as the Libs.

These results are irrelevant. Yeah they give a good idea of the general performance of each party, but total % means diddly-squat in a FPTP system.

I predict that at a higher number of NDPs candidates will arrive second to either Conservatives and Liberals (and some BQs in Quebec, and Mulcair wins in Outremont) in tighter races despite the better performance throughout Canada.
