The Feds have announced a 400 million dollar investment in the Tech refinery in Trail BC, to fund the expansion of production of antimony, gallium and other metal I can't remember.

The funding is coming from the Canadian Growth Fund, and so the government is taking an equity stake.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

I have to say, I find little to be offended about regarding Carney's government. To be fair, though, I haven't been looking either.

There are a whole bunch of non-Conservative politics and behaviours I find unacceptable, so it's not the only reason.

And there are Conservative ways of governing that I can be at peace with.

I am not sure what being Conservative means if Carney is that close.

I would've understand small c, but not capital C.

Note I'm not saying it's a bad thing.  As I get older I find I'm becoming a bit more conservative. In 15 years I think I'll be on the same page as BB

That's what I was thinking. I think it is accurate to call Carney a small c conservative. But I think there is a wide gap between him and the political positions of the capital C Conservative Party in this country.

Yeah, agreed.

We've had this discussion before. The Conservative Party has moved further to the right, and so have the Libs...there's been sort of a shift along the political spectrum.

Yes, exactly.  And I don't see a road back from that political stance for that party in the near to medium future.

At least this PM is doing a good job on foreign relations.  Nothing to complain there.
