Wait until Peru finds out that's what portuguese and Brazilian people call turkeys. Excuse me, I mean turkiyes.

They make great cheese but the only cuisine I can think of is duck confit. Although I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Canada was robbed; when will the world learn to appreciate poutine and sushi pizza?   :(

France, Spain and Morocco are much too low.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Onion soup? :P

(Assuming you're not just trolling Zoupa, there's bouillabaisse, boeuf bourguignon, souffle, mousse, runny omelets, cassoulet, choucroute and many, many more.)

In this case I'm not trying to anger our resident Frenchman :D I forgot deserts, so I'll add that to Frances score. I should have also been more clear, I couldn't think of special or exceptional French cuisine. Choucroute is worse sauerkraut and both bouillabaisse and Bourguignon are mediocre stews :P

Obviously tastes differ, so you're more than free to disagree. I'd also move Korean up the list.

You might have something about style Shelf.  One of the defining characteristics as I see it of centrism is a relative lack of anger, rage, bogeymen.

I'm a big fan of French and Quebecois food.

I'm a fan of poutine (both real and bastardized :D ), Montreal deli, and beaver tails, if it's any consolation

This seems fair actually.
They don't have many dishes of note to really excite, but they do seem to be really hung up on ingredients and details like Italians, which makes their generic food OK.

Not sure I agree in regards to the half a point I agree with. There's lots of anger, rage, conspiracy mindedness there, I think. Constantly calling for investigations into x decision as "misconduct in public office".

If you self-identify a core part of your politics as being rational and evidence based which the other guys aren't, then I think it can lead you into thinking the only possible reason anyone could do anything else is because they're either basically evil or all corrupt.

I think this is right. There's some very great dishes but the main thing I think of when I think about French food is technique which can be applied to everything. And that's why it impacts every other cuisine more than any other - Escoffier set a standard that travelled around the world. Everyone (including the French, I think) have moved on from him but that foundation is still there and it's still French.
Let's bomb Russia!

I thought Montreal pastrami is dry cure? In which case dry :D

Some Jehovas just came to my door. First I've seen them in a while.
They said no other church focusses on people reading the bible, I said what about the Calvinists, they'd never heard of them

They were also insistent on how the bible knew the world was round...But that was pretty common in the eastern med at the time the bible was written I believe?
