I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

The NDP is going to have a financial problem with the reduction in per vote funding they are going to receive after this collapse in the popular vote.

Believe me, I long for the days of "Let's Go Brandon!"

This is the 1st election since the 2011 Orange wave that I didn't vote NDP.
Getting ready to make IEDs against American Occupation Forces.

"But I didn't vote for him"; they cried.

Had to recheck, it's 12 seats to get official party status in the House of Commons.

They will have to work very hard to come back.

Really curious why so many of you non-Canadians are anti-Conservative.

Real story here is the collapse of the NDP vote.  Secondary story is fall of the BQ vote.

Conservative vote is up by the looks of it, but NDP->Liberal switchers are carrying it.

So that's how the democratic system works.  C'est la vie.

It's funny though - 20 years ago there were definitely Conservative/NDP voters.  NDP was a working class union party.  It's either the cultural issues / Jagmeet Singh being a bad leader, has cost the NDP a ton of support.

I'm tired of this dysfunctional parliament.

As much as I didn't like Trudeau and his govt, I think I would have preferred a majority Liberal govt this time around.  See what they can do for 4 years.

The margins are so thin in a lot of places. We might not know until tomorrow morning.

Unlike last time a Liberal minority will not depend on the NDP, for good and bad.
