In theory battleship could, perhaps even should, work. A film about battleships not bogged down by history? Awesome.
This though..almost certainly won't be,
Jutland would make an awesome movie.

Yeah. Awesomely STUPID!

Yeah. Awesomely STUPID!
Why?
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The love story would have to be gay.

The love story would have to be gay.

It would have young Doenitz, in love with the new submarines, trying to seduce Tirpitz so that the Grand Admiral approves building more of the new Wunderwaffe. Ludendorff, Tirpitz' jealous and violent ex-lover, tries to convince the Admiral that Doenitz is only after his money, not his heart. Ludendorff also wonders if his love for Tirpitz is truly dead. Hindenburg, meanwhile, Ludendorff's fatherly lover, supports Doenitz so he can "Ludi" for himself again.

You're welcome, Hollywood. That'll be 3 million USD.

As a supervisor, sometimes at work people demand my full name. Since my last name is rather unique, I've been giving them names from Clue as my last name.

On Friday, I was Stephen Scarlet. On Monday I plan to be Stephen Peacock.

Kinda surprised they haven't made a movie based on WoW.

This is why I love having a first/last name set shared with about 5,000 other Americans.  There's enough of us to populate a battleship! :P

And here's a trailer. Reminds me a bit of Transformers and Crysis.

The scenes showing destruction of buildings are about Hong Kong.  The building that was cut in half was the Bank of China building.
