Just FYI, GF, messages get cut off after the second sentence or so.  It's best to just PM stuff via Languish.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

WAR! The Peaceful nation of The Western Republic of the Holy Ehrie has been attacked by the cowards of the Federated Lands of Inner Berkundia. A State of WAR now exists. I hereby ask that the Languish Pact of Steel be activated and my glorious allies come to my aid.

Habbaku

The Trade Republic of Habbakuia declares itself neutral in all hostilities.  Our armed forces are not up to the task of more than mere border patrol to make sure refugees from the dirty (yet honorable) nations adjacent do not sneak in and intermix with our populace.

The Tonitrian Commonwealth deplores violence and hopes that a peaceful resolution may be found.

The standard propaganda of the traitorous ehrians spews forth as normal. Their blatant and contued occupation of our land will no longer be tolerated, unless of course they kick our teeth in, in which case we find considerably more tolerance than we had before.

Link or screen or it didnt happen.

Assuming someone's paying attention, I'm happy to post a map shot every other turn or so.

Current situation :

Red = Berkut
Blue = Ehrie
Yellow = GF
Green = Habbaku
Purple = Ulmont
Light Blue = Tonitrus

The hex that Berkut took is along the western border that he shares with Ehrie.

I can't think you liked what you found on the other side of that hex you took. :P

Ulmont, now would be a good time to scoop up the Eastern mountain regions of Berkundia.

I do find the map configuration very interesting, though.  Lots of open plains and scattered forests...and then a big ore/clay region in the center, ensuring that whoever dominates it will have an upper hand in their economy.

You mean Mount Clusterfuck?

I'm starting to understand why you stayed the hell away from there.

And this is the first war occuring? These open games are too wild west it seems. Well, no surprise there.

If anyone has more time or wants to put his case of casus beli forward the zoomed in map would be awesome :)
