Will we play the WWI map?

While I think that would be a lot of fun at some point (especially if played semi-historically), I think the map Berkut has selected is probably for the best for our first game.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

You can actually look at it once you've accepted the invitation to join, but I'll post it here, too.

For those looking in, the colors indicate the players as follows :

Berkut : Red
Habbaku : Blue
Greyfox : Yellow
Ulmont : Green
Strix : Turquoise (Teal? Light blue?)
Tonitrus : Orange (I think)

Edit : Colors don't entirely coincide with what's on the map, oddly.  Changed slightly.

Strix is our first asshat.  Congratulations!

Why sign up for a game you don't want to play?

What's the setting/location/goal/era/strategy behind the game?  The map is little help.
"Everything that brought you here -- all the things that made you a prisoner of past sins -- they are gone. Forever and for good. So let the past go... and live."
