In German, Americans are often referred to as "Ami", emphasis on "Am", the "A" is pronounced like the u in "umpire" or "unbelievable", the i a very short "ee" sound.

"Ami" in German is a pretty neutral way to speak of U.S. Americans colloquially. I'd have to think about a derogative word for Americans from a German perspective (we have plenty for European neighbours).
