"Knock knock"

"Who's there?"

"Special delivery from Tehran. You're all dead."

"Knock knock"

"Who's there?"

"The IDF.  We're kicking you out of your house this minute without any compensation for no reason you need know about."

In all seriousness, a major source of the tensions seem to be that the IDF doesn't always have the best judgment on the ground, which makes sense when the IDF is basically a group of kids.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Ground hog day in Blighty?

For the 2nd time in three days this happened, on my way home I get off one bus, briefly wander around some shops, go into a supermarket, pick up some things, pay, am about to pack/assemble my purchases, look up and see my bus passing the same window, I pick up my purchases, on both occasions five packets of cereal, run towards the exit, which is blocked by too many people leaving, so I run out of the entrance door as it's auto closing, sprint to the bus stop and I just manage to get on.

At which point if all falls apart as on the 2nd occasion I manage to bag my favourite seat, well at least I'm getting better at it, tomorrow I'll work on not burning my pizza.

Nice allegory on the endless Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Yeah mongers, I appreciate the way you managed to take what could be considered a banal personal anecdote and used it to skilfully illustrate the way the Palestinian people have been oppressed by Israelis blocking their way, yet have managed to barely hang on. :)

I've come to agree with Tim. We should have a dedicated thread for this.

I'm about spent, FWIW.  Unless DGuller, Minksy, Malthus, et al have any more clever comments or want to call me "unhinged" some more, or Yi wants to play Question Time some more, I personally think the topic is exhausted.

CM, just noticed what is below your avatar. Pancho and Lefty is one of my favorite songs. :)
