I made a girl cry in class today, my co-teacher thought it was hilarious. <_<

Why did you do this?
I didn't make her cry on purpose.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

That would be standard operating procedure in Korea, nothing to be upset about.

No, she was apparently the #1 student in English for the 3rd (US 9th) grade before I gave her an 8 out of 10 on her oral exam (10% of their semester grade). She was sobbing from the shame.

Don't be such a douchebag.

Simple questions and answers, she blanked on one of them and then got flustered and her grammar became really shaky on the rest.

Her spoken English is certainly good, but it's definitely not the best in the school. Those written tests are a very poor reflection of actual conversational ability.

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
