Banderas usually played bottom in his gay Almodóvar films. The kind of passive-aggressive bottom that actually dominates the relationship, though.

Still very much enjoying 'Wolf Hall' and Damien Lewis's portrayal of Henry VIII is revealing itself perhaps brilliantly, I mean I think it'll be a brilliant performance once the full traits and motivations of his Henry are evident.

I'm thinking of getting this on DVD when it comes out.

Red Scorpion at the Cinémathèque (B-movie night with another run by the mill italian rip-off of Dirty Dozen).
One of Dolph's best performances. There's even some humour!  They don't make anti-commie B-movies like that anymore. Great practical effects, Tom Savini even shows his expertise, and João Fernandes, DP of Director Joseph Zito (Missing in Action and Invasion USA) shoots the movie better than it deserved to be, by making the most of the troubled shooting thanks to the great Namibian vistas for instance.
Savimbi tribute inside. Finest Abramoff lobbying ever.

It is a fun B-movie, but I have a really hard time overlooking the badly dressed-up Sea King they used as an Mi-24.

Can't argue with that but not even Rambo III had a real Hind with French helicopters (Israeli IIRC Gazelles and Pumas) dressed-up as well.   
But then shooting a movie about Jihad in Israel is already ironic in a way.

More bothering for me was Cubans and Soviets having only lorries with driving seats on the right. Of course, shooting in Namibia with South Africa explains that...

As Marti says 50/50 probably. I'd never really thought of it, but in that film I wouldn't peg Banderas as the bottom - to the extent that's a permanent fixed category in a relationship which it rarely is.

So it's rarely fixed yet 50/50. 

I would say it's more of a coin toss - so in practice can go 50/50 either way.

I figured one of the benefits of being gay was you get to have sex both ways.  Seems like a waste to just do one or the other.

Caught up on Ep. 2 and 3 of Better Call Saul. Liking it so far. Kim is hot in her business suit and pony tail.  And Mrs Kettleman is a bitch, but also hot in her way.
