There's definitely a concerted social media effort to show videos of Muslims doing nasty things. I just saw a video of "Muslims kicking a pensioner in the head"... that turned out to be some random violence from months ago with no connection to current events, nor to Muslims as far as I could see.

I think there's been one incident, which was in Birmingham. Following a (false) rumour of an EDL march the local Muslim community had a counter-protest (but there was no EDL protest) in an area.

As it turned to evening things turned a bit nasty. A Sky News van had their tires slashed with a guy shouting "free Palestine" and reportedly following reporters with a weapon. Then following another (false) rumour of the EDL meeting in a local pub, a group attacked that pub. Elders from the local Asian community then turned up and calmed the situation down.

Aside from that nothing. But there are also false rumours of that type - or of an acid attack on a Muslim woman - that I think are probably trying to provoke.

That is a common social media trick. Showing unrelated videos often from other countries and try to pass them off as something that just happened in some current event.

Like showing a riot in Pakistan from years ago and try to pass it off as something happening in the UK today or something.

Trump is weirder in the "what was that shit that just dribbled out of his mouth?" sense, but utterly predictable.  Musk's weird is completely unpredictable but less frequent.  Musk is weirder because his motives are sometimes completely opaque.

It should be fun when the defense lawyers play the clip of Elon telling advertisers not to use X and to go fuck themselves. "I hope they stop. Musk: Because I will not make the mistakes others are making!

Right Elon. That is everybody's worry about AI, that it might turn us all trans.  That is what the people concerned with AI have been sounding the alarm bells about. The fact that you hate and are cruel to trans people means we can completely trust you to be responsible with AI development.

How did a guy this self deluded and idiotic become this dominant powerful person who has so much unaccountable power over our lives? And I feel like an idiot for ever thinking he was the guy we needed to address real problems. But maybe he was that guy to some extent in the past but then his kid was trans, a kid he completely neglected and never bothered to get to know btw, and now his brain is completely broken. All he seems to care about is revenge on his daughter for her daring to not be what he wanted her to be.

Usually I don't even really want anything taken away from these assholes but their power. He can go LARP saving the world with his fanboys on a private island and leave the rest of us alone and live happily ever after as far as I am concerned.

But since he is instead an incredibly powerful person who controls more economically than many entire countries and the fact that he has pretty much devoted his life and vast resources to destroying you personally I can see why you feel that way. It isn't your fault his daughter hates him, but he blames you for it. Nothing is ever Elon's fault, he is a perpetual victim and he wants his revenge. So yeah him going broke fighting woke would be karmically just.

But that seems unlikely guys who are as rich as Elon are too big to fail. It seems like he is destroying Tesla and Twitter but I suspect their eventual demise will only be a tiny blip in his wealth and power.

I only saw excerpts, but the most depressing bit to me was when Jordan asked him what he loves being a father, or what he loves about parenthood or something.

There's an uncomfortable pause.

And then Musk starts talking about how humans are hardwired to love and care for their offspring etc.

Well yeah. Here was have a guy sinking tons of money into AI. Here we have a guy who is constantly going on about how men should have lots of kids. Obviously AI and kids are issues he cares a lot about.

Yet he is stumped when asked even the most basic probing questions about them. He doesn't seem to have thought about or reflected on these things at all. That's wild. One would think he would have lots of things to say on them.
