Eh. Granted Ringo sounded awesome singing about octopuses and how he gets by with a little help from his friends in the show on Sunday but really you are there just to see the legends perform live.

Coming out as gay and coming out as being into sales are comparable, I guess?

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

When my nephew finally came out to his parents the reaction was 100% "we know and we're glad you finally are comfortable to tell us".  The signs were just so obvious growing up - his love of theatre, how he always had lots of female friends but never any girlfriends...

My younger son loves the theatre and has many more female friends than male friends.  He also has no girlfriend.  The explanation for why he has no girlfriend is that the women he dates tend to be a bit put off or intimidated that he has a number of very attractive close female friends.

Thankfully he is now dating a woman who knows a number of his friends, both male and female.

Funny story - he was recently out with his female friends at a club and he was approached by a woman who asked pointedly "are you gay".  When he responded that he wasn't she said "Oh thank God" and then she kissed him and asked him to dance.

Story was told by his brother, with just a tinge of envy.
