This is going to sound obvious but have you tried a different computer?

Not everyone has multiple computers at home.

I mean - I do  but not everyone does.

True but CC got kids & a wife. I hope he doesn't let any of them near his gaming computer.

Yeah, same problem.

edit: one of the suggestions was to see if someone with another account could log on through my computer to see if it was an account problem or my computer.

So, BB want to fly down?

Yes, but it isn't happening anytime soon.

I'll email you my account info after court (leaving right away) so you can try that.

Hmm, so a different computer at your house but on the same internet connection is having the same problem. That is good information, very good.

Am I correct in thinking you are getting this error *before* you enter your account information, or after?

I get it after.  The launcher loads correctly, I enter my account name and password, hit the log in button, then after a bit of a pause the Server Not Responding message pops up on the top of the launcher.

edit: Also, I tried to run the game at work and get the same error, but that could simply be a separate set of problems with my work network.

Wasn't that the symptom of the Timezone issue they had/have?

Yep,

but I have the correct time zone on the forum, the correct time and date on my computer and bios and I have changed my password and security questions (which supposedly helps sync everything).

Grey Fox

You mean all these settings match the server's timezone?

I am not sure what you mean by the "server's timezone".  CS says that the timezone set on your forum options on the swtor.com site must match your correct local time.

Oh. I thought it had to match the game server you were connecting to.

You know what's going to happen now, don't you?

CC's account will continue on not working, while BB's account will not work at CC's but will also stop fucntionning for BB himself.

Well, that narrows it down.  Your account info worked BB, I didnt get the server error and it went right to one of the security questions.  Many thanks!!!!! Now I can go back to CS with evidence it isnt me...

You should probably change your password BB.
