I wish Blanchet was leader of the NDP and not a French nationalist

Good thing he's Quebecer and not French then.

Grey Fox

Alain Reyes is right Rebel News is a militant organization not a journalistic organization.
Getting ready to make IEDs against American Occupation Forces.

"But I didn't vote for him"; they cried.

He's not that kind of leftist tho. The social left that believes in multiculturalism and religion would hate his guts.

Bloc leaders always enjoy the English debate. They can actually understand what the other leaders are saying (our current crop is really really good at French) and there's nothing to gain or lose.

It's not just his ideology though. I like the way he comes across. He seems "more real" than the others. But you're right, GF, he's got nothing to gain or lose in the English debates

crazy canuck

He just has to deliver one line - if its good for Quebec we support it.

Bauer

I dislike how often he interrupts though.  I'd prefer formats where the mic's are cut when out of turn.

Singh was the worst for that

I only heard parts of it on the radio, nothing really noteworthy stood out to me

Polievre did have a Trump moment at the end talking about his rallies "which are really big".

Like his hands?

Canadians need the CBC more than ever.  Our major media providers are corporate leviathans, Postmedia is American owned and dominates print media in both large and small markets.  The online world is a balkanized echo chamber of right-wing propaganda with professional and amateur "shorts" brainwashing everyone in real-time.  It's a bleak state of affairs and the CBC has at least a modicum of journalistic rigour compared to some of the flimflam charlatans that unfortunately abound.

Barrister

I was amused when Carney talked about Canada owning the Keystone pipeline.

Singh was terrible.

I doubt Poilievre did enough to change the outcome.

PP has no gravitas and limited charisma, but I thought he'd do better. I think his insulation from journalists asking unscripted questions hurt him. It's like he can't think on his feet fast enough, or maybe he's just not that bright.
