PS: no question subbed is better for movies à la Star Wars. OTOH, Jar Jar Binks was even more atrocious dubbed; Ep. I was a kid movie so dubs were plenty.

The Wolverine. Not as bad as the first one, but still pretty meh. I like the character and I like Jackman playing it a lot, so here's hoping they are able to get at least one good Wolverine flick out.

Planet Earth II is coming later this year and it'll all be in 4K. I might need to upgrade from my 720p. :hmm:

What We Do In The Shadows- Very funny mockumentary about a bunch of vampires sharing a flat in New Zealand, just going about their mundane vampire lives..... Written by and starring one of the Flight of the Conchords guys,

So.  Has anyone seen The Witch yet?  I plan on watching it within the next few days.  Rotten Tomatoes has very high numbers from critics and mediocre from regular viewers.

I thought it was beautifully shot. (main reason went to see it was realized I've only caught Fury Road and Sicario of the Best Cinematography nominees, Hateful 8 and Carol aren't playing anymore locally, so missed out on those)

I liked it, still behind those other two I did catch for films that i liked from 2015.

Watched the last of the new X-files episodes.  Dreadful.  There was one good one, and it was the comedy one.  I can suspend disbelief as much as the next guy, but everything the main characters say is just insane and doesn't even fit together logically.

Some people managed to restore the original Star Wars to hd quality, no Lucas edits:

Given the media attention, they disbanded after their last release, 5 seconds of The Empire Strikes Back.
They set out to prove it could be done, contrary to Lucas' assertions, so they proved it.

We might eventually see a restored - no edits version of SW when the rights revert back to Disney.  Unless Lucas sends someone to permantly destroy the original print :P
