Skyfall too. :thumbsdown: Boring villain, boring plot, obnoxious Q-replacement, that crap about Bond's childhood... The only good thing about that movie was the song.

Skyfall was pretty nonsensical, but it wasn't boring. I liked the whole "save M" plot, made it more personal than your run of the mill bond Villain, even if the villain's plot didn't make sense at all.

Anyway, matter of taste I guess.

A powerful propaganda piece for China.
A multi-ethnic chinese army faces off against an evil roman emperor with the help of a bunch of renegade romans.
Jackie Chan, Adrian Brody and Jon Cusack star in this big budget chinese movie.

Romans (the West, mono ethnic, under the influence of a single evil man) are trained from birth to be soldiers for wars.
Chinese (multi-ethnic: Uyghurs, Huns, turkish speaking tribes, etc) are trained for peace.  Jackie Chan's squad are protectors of the peace on the silk road) sent in exile after being accused of stealing gold.  On that city, they meet a roman general fleeing the armies of the Emperor of Rome, intent on invading China with 100 000 man under the guise of chasing a fugitive through Parthian territory.

Took dad to see Star Wars. Dad doesn't speak English so we saw the dubbed version. It was truly atrocious. :bleeding:

Watched Skyfall on the Esquire channel.  At this rate the next one will show up on public access.

Pretty silly movie.  The Hanibal Lecter cell was silly.  Escaping from it was silly.  The battle for the manse was silly.  Dodging the komodo lizards was silly.  Daniel Craig looks silly when he runs.  Only part I enjoyed was watching debris from MI6 rain down on the Ministry of Truth.
