The only scene I can remember from Taken Part Deux is the "faster!  Drive now! Go! Faster!" scene, which is a parody of itself.

The Larch

So, Deadpool has smashed a handful of box office records this weekend. Chimichangas for everyone!

Isn't it a parody of Faster! Harder! Scooter!...?

There's no reason to be ashamed because you don't know what a chimichanga is, Brain.

Looking for something to watch tonight. I haven't seen any of the Taken films. Are they: worth the time? If it's just the phone scene I can just youtube that.

The first one is watchable.

Just finished it. Yeah, it's pretty decent. What are the other good "Neeson kicking butt" flicks? I have only seen Unknown, which was enjoyable, too.

Excalibur.  :smarty:
Rob Roy.

Michael Collins--You get Alan Rickman as a bonus.
"Stability is destabilizing." --Hyman Minsky

"Complacency can be a self-denying prophecy."
"We have nothing to fear but lack of fear itself." --Larry Summers

Admiral Yi

I thought about Michael Collins, but does he actually kick anyone's ass?

Not in the movie, no.
He probably did, historically.

It Follows. Pretty cool. Very annoying soundtrack though, but that's usually the case with indie films.

Regarding the hype, it is the best horror film I have seen in quite a while, but that says more of the sad state the genre is than anything else. It is a good film though.

katmai

it was trying to harken back to cheesy 80's horror flick with that soundtrack.

I got that, but those OSTs were already annoying back in the 80s  :P

EDIT: Except Halloween, of course.

katmai

Never said they weren't.

Just got back from Deadpool. Very funny, good flick, don't forget to take the kids.....to Kung Fu Panda 3 or something, but not this.

Yeah I agree. It was good, but nothing like classic horror flicks.
