As always it remains meh. Kinda watchable in the background but not must see stuff.

A night out to the movies will typically cost in the $25 range in Toronto, if you have a drink and popcorn.

OK, and a DVD from Amazon costs $25 if you get overnight shipping.  So what?

So, many people enjoy having popcorn and a drink with their movie. This is news? 

The outrageous prices for both tickets and concession stands make going to the movies an expensive proposition. The tickets alone here are 13 bucks. Thus, when faced with the choice of entertainment, considering big screen TVs and all, it is a less attractive choice than in past decades.

Certainly you can save money by not getting snacks. You can save even more by waiting until movies are available at repo houses. Or by watching movies at home.

Interesting setup, writing wasn't that great. (The scene where he went ballistic over the Nevermore on the garage and the marshall had him pulled away was pretty cringe-worthy) I'll probably watch it for the first month.

Yeah there's a lot of cliches.....ex FBI, alcoholic, for one....but like I said it has potential.

All true.  In the comfort of your home, with your own wine, your good sofa, the wood stove and all the necessary equipment for watching a movie the decent way, and on top of it, pausing anytime you want.
And yet, the big screen megaplex have no lack of customers for the big movies.  And they "recycle" older movies during the days for 1 or 2$ to recover part of their costs.  Odeon is far from being in the red, and they have more expansion plans on the way (actually, not technically correct: they shut down "conventionial" theaters are rebuild brend new megaplex with those D-Box seats).
