That's only because the curtain hasn't gone up yet on the Governor's Big Plan(tm).  Not that I know the story since I didn't read the comics, but I think something seriously sinister is cooking with that psychopath.  Fucking southerners.

Rick's gone off the reservation, but that final scene was an awesome cliffhanger for next week.  The look on his face [spoiler]when the phone rang[/spoiler]. 

Also, [spoiler]I'm glad Michonne got her sword back and walked like a motherfucker.  Teaser for next week she meets up with Merle in the woods.  Hope she banzais his redneck ass.[/spoiler]

Pretty obvious they were just stretching out the appearance of normalcy, though the gladiatorial games underlined that there really isn't any.

I could appreciate his rationale about it when he explained it, but it doesn't make it any less batshit insane.

What were you guy's opinion of Dredd? Worth watching?

Definitely worth watching.  Better in 3D, unlike so many other 3D movies, but it's fine without it.
