The humour is hyper post modern in laughing at the fact that this kind of cliche was once the height of comedy.
It's entetsining I find even as it is for now, but the story is coming out bit by bit. They'll do the 80s and 90s. Conceivably 00s and 10s though harder to pin down (the office style?) but then they'll have to do something else

If you dig classic sitcoms...

I'd definitely watch Mandalorian first.
I do.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Haven't seen Cobra Kai yet.  We will watch that soon though.

So good.

And I'm digging Wandavision too.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

So, Wandavision...I don't have Disney plus, but I hear it's amazing.

Is it as good as they say?

Yes.  :)

Plus if you get Disney you can also watch the Mandalorian.  Even if you don't like Star Wars that much you will still like it.

And if you do like Star Wars you need Disney to watch all the content that is coming.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks is on Disney+ too!

Grey Fox

There's only 3 episode of Wandavision so far & they are not that interesting. I'd wait for the entire season to be out before starting.
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

Don't know where that should go, but it's technically about TV:

I forgot to mention last week that several of the Universal classic monster movies have been made freely available in Youtube for anyone to watch for a limited amount of time. In case you want to give them a shot, the following are available here: https://www.youtube.com/c/FearTheHomeOfHorror/videos

- Dracula (1931)
- Frankenstein (1931)
- The Mummy (1932)
- The Invisible Man (1933)
- The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
- The Wolfman (1941)
- Abbot & Costello meet Frankenstein (1948).

They're all fairly short, most are only around 70 minutes long, and they'll only be available for a few more days, so give them a shot while you can. I'm trying to watch at least one per day this week.

So, they finished showing the films today, and I managed to sneak a couple more during the weekend. I ended up cathing them all except Bride of Frankenstein and the Abbot & Costello one. All in all, quite an enlightening experience. Already from the oldest to the newer ones you can see how film technique evolves.

So I watched the Dune movie. God, I knew it was supposed to be bad. But it was terrible.

Get Carter. What are people from Newcastle called, Geordies? Anyway, understandable why Tyr wanted to skip the country.  :P

Satisfying ending, btw.

I tried watching that with my girlfriend recently. She just "Couldn't see the point in the movie". The classic movie pacing just doesn't gel with her.
I've seen it many times over the years of course, its rather good.

Needs noting not many places from that film are recognisable today. Newcastle is a lot more polished.  My hometown on the other hand....

The TV movie, or Lynch's Dune?  The Lynch movie was dumb but kinda fun because it was so dumb.
