Bad boys for life.

Absolutely horrible, total and complete dreck. If this is how US police perceive themselves I totally and completely understand the present protests. Played out like Trumpian porn.
it's the greatest of the series, and among the best action flicks I've seen since John Wick 2. :)
You must not have seen the previous 2 movies. :)

The idea was more that cops might be coloured by how they perceive cops in the movies. This movie illustrates how police rules are only in the way and the only way to get results is to flaunt those rules. Like so many other cop movies.
That's basically how any police tv series and movies are made.
Hawaii 5-0, maybe? ;)  I mean, an entire unit that operates on the ground that they have immunity and no accountability to tackle the crime problem on the island.NCIS (all series), all do gooders, except when there's a big bad villain that needs to be dealth with outside the US, then they all go rogue and everything is pardonned. The first 2 Bad Boys movies.Any police movie made in the 80s.And so on, and so on.
The problem with police brutality lies not in the movies&tv shows, but in their training and their accountability.  Most police services in the US have a near total immunity for their actions.

I don't know about cops, but anecdotal stories from the military is that the first thing done is to get all the stupid movie shit out of the recruits.
If military recruits think they're all to become the next Rambo, yeah, it's a problem.

Cops don't usually write screenplays.

One notable exception being Frenchman Olivier Marchal, a former cop.

I would be surprised if lots of ex-cops are not involved with all those cop shows.

If cops can't tell the difference between reality and fiction, I'd agree that's a problem.

Many people get their information through entertainment so it is not just cops.
Yeah I love a crime drama and it's kind of extraordinary watching any US cop drama recently because you really notice how common the roughing up suspects thing is, plus every situation that's depicted is life and death.

This may just reflect the TV I watch but I feel like a similar analysis of UK crime drama would mainly show lots of determined middle aged women who are tired of your bullshit

But the military recognizes that that is a problem, and spends rather significant amounts of time training that out of them.

I get the impression that what the police spend a lot of time training into their recruits involve a lot of videos of civilians killing police in crazy as circumstances, and then drilling into them that if they aren't willing to shoot people who don't do as their told LIKE RIGHT NOW that is what is going to happen to them. Probably.

FTFY.  White people can get uppity.  It's uppity n*****s that police have to murder, just in case.

Seems to be what I'm taking off from reading about it, and listening to CdM's criticism of the modern police force.

Also, that, generally, the black man is perceived as dangerous.

Modern day police shooting of black individuals are similar to the lynchings of the past century.  It's not that they specifically hate Blacks, it's that they consider them a threat, to them, or others.  And it's reinforced by cultural stereotypes displayed in gangsta rap&such.

I wonder how this live-action Mulan thing will work. Will parents make a big push to pay £20 on Disney+ to buy that film?

And apparently it'll just be available to everyone with Disney+ from December?
