Lucifer season 5.

Still funny, for the 2 episodes and a half I have seen :)

KRonn

I watched that show when it was on network TV but didn't follow it when it went to Netflix. Good fun show.  :)

The Larch

Joe Ruby, Scooby Doo's creato,r has passed away.  :(

Josquius

How to build a girl - a 16 year old nerd in the main character from derry girls vein, from shitty Wolverhampton in the early 90s, gets a job for an NME analogue and decides to reinvent herself by dressing like a magician.
It's quite a decent light film. But the last lines have the girl speaking to camera with a really terrible message. It's not the expected one of just be yourself and don't be fake. Rather it's one of constantly reinvent yourself. Just keep faking it in different ways.... Riiiight.
Though it must be said the main actress does an awesome job. It turns out... She is American. And she absolutely nails a Midlands accent.

Netflix has bought Cobra Kai. I watched the first season when it was at YouTube and thought it worked suprisingly well, Zabka is really endearing as a fucked-up master figure.

Apparently Netflix has commissioned a third season, too.

Syt

Half way through series 4 of Peep Show. I love it but it's also quite uncomfortable, because I think I identify with Mark too much.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Barrister

Bill and Ted Face the Music.

I went into this wanting to watch a lot, but not expecting very much.  Which I think is about the level to appreciate it, which I did.

I think it was, in all, very sweet.  There's fan service a-plenty, which is what you expect with a 30 year old sequel.  The plot was kind of lose and confusing, but that's the source material they're working with.  Some of the better bits are spoiled by the trailer, but that's about standard for Hollywood these days.

The funniest bits are when B&T are going through time to visit their future selves (in order to steal the song which saves reality), and each of their future selves are kind of dicks.  But then they meet their really old dying selves which was easily my favourite bit in the movie.

Plus a cute quick cameo from a rock legend, and Death steals the scenes he's in as always.

I don't know if it was worth the $20 we paid for a digital download, but if you're a fan of the movies it's worth a watch at some point.

Fighting with my family.

Nice cute little movie. :)
Florence Pugh is a great talented actress and it shows once more in there.  It almost humanizes the WWE.

Bad boys for life.

Absolutely horrible, total and complete dreck. If this is how US police perceive themselves I totally and completely understand the present protests. Played out like Trumpian porn.

Cops don't usually write screenplays.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Threviel

The idea was more that cops might be coloured by how they perceive cops in the movies. This movie illustrates how police rules are only in the way and the only way to get results is to flaunt those rules. Like so many other cop movies.

The Brain

*shrug* Whatchagonna do?
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

If cops can't tell the difference between reality and fiction, I'd agree that's a problem.

Many people get their information through entertainment so it is not just cops.

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

I don't know about cops, but anecdotal stories from the military is that the first thing done is to get all the stupid movie shit out of the recruits. I don't imagine young police officers to be very different.
