Well first of all I meant I had consultants not be hired by clients back when I was doing staffing.  I *wanted* these people hired, but the nosy-ass client is the one who did the snooping.

In one case it was because the girl was all emo like "I want to kill myself today lol", and stuff like that.  The client's comment was "She's just so negative!"  I then looked at her profile myself and didn't think it was so bad.

In another, it was actually the opposite of what you were suggesting--a client snooped a guy's profile and saw he was into Rush Limbaugh, etc. and was all GOD GOD GOD JESUS JESUS JESUS GOD and was like "I don't want that intolerant nut working here."  The client was like an ex-hippy type.... smoked some clove cigarettes with him and my sales guy. 

In both of these cases I felt like there was a bit of discrimination afoot, but it's not worth the risk of losing the account.
