Of course what's missed in this whole thread is the obvious point.

WTF is Madonna doing in Romania. Has her career tanked that poorly? WTF tours in Bucharest?

Umm, I think she's already done tours of the civilized world, seeing as how the album she is promoting came out last April.

*A quick check on wikipedia reveals that she has a few dates in Eastern Europe and then two in Israel before the end of the tour.

I blame the global economy. The Black-Eyed Peas are slated to have a muslim-free concert in Malaysia. :contract:

Not surprised to see you side with racists.

It is a little surprising that he has such feelings of antipathy for Madonna. Why does he even care about her, one way or another?

Yeah, 'cuz I'm really, really racist, right?  And are gypsies a 'race' anyway?

You are from West Virginia aren't you?  And yeah I think they are a race.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and they found MOST cooperative leaders in Jugoslavia.

In the civilized parts of Europe, the only men that could be found to run local Nazi governments were senile old war heroes. The real leaders formed resistance groups..

In the Balkans, "Lets get rid of the Jews and Gypsies, then we'll worry about independence!"

Which is uncommonly clever for those swarthy half-turks.

In the short term, yes, they're giving up some liberties but eventually they will be free again.

In the long term, they're getting rid of their gypsy population, or would've if not for the intervention of those snotty would-be do-gooders, the legion of well-meaning fools.

You have to look at the big picture.

Gypsies :bleeding:

I agree it's wrong to single them out for violence, but I encountered them in Italy (most notably in Florence, Pisa, and Verona) and they were, to put it mildly, a nuisance.  As someone else said, they are absolutely filthy and they do nothing but beg and use their kids as pickpockets while you're distracted by their begging.

I saw that exact scenario with Gypsies in Rome.  The older ones begging while the kids run around picking pockets.  One kid got caught and the guy who had him was holding on hard, not letting him go, and screaming "POLIZZZIIIAAAAA!"

He doesn't say that to Katmai, Lusti or Tim. So it's not racist, merely anti-Jaronist. :contract:
