Yi, I think he's laying the groundwork for Norway.

A not unreasonable goal, but I don't see how it's furthered by stating "everything will be ossum."

Don't you realise he's channelling Churchill, hence the over use of never and history; honestly Yi, the things he says Will come to pass.

In part it's his brand. I think Farage is our Trump. Boris used to boast about being pro-immigration and his whole style, that's worked so far, is broad cheerful optimism and jokiness.

I don't think it's real and I feel like he's been caught out now but I think that's what he's doing.

Corbyn reminds me of a British Sanders, and in a bad way.

I honestly can't think of a "good way".  They are both flogging really stupid idea that should have been put to bed by the 1970's.  Back in the 1990's sanders was still trying defund the military and get rid of the CIA.  I imagine both of them cried a lot back in 1989 and 1991.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Sterling down on early trading as the Eastern markets open.

Next few days could be quite choppy.

Supposedly Osborne has regained some composure and will speak* this morning before trading starts in Europe.

edit:
Apparently he'll just be releasing a statement; canned or rallying call who's to know.

It does occur to me actually that if you're remotely interested in politics and not a mentalist we really should join the parties now because this stuff is too important to be left to Tory activists and Momentum :bleeding:

Join what parties?  You mean the Conservative and the Labour parties?

Are you so anxious to join the hysterical Anglo euros in their downward spiral?

I'm thinking of joining three parties :

Labour - so I can vote for a sensible centre-left candidate.

Conservatives -  Stop Boris!

Lib Dems - I sort of am one.

I'm also wondering whether to become active in politics, but that sort of thing is not really my line at all  :hmm:

  I am totally confused.  If you join Labour, you are supposed to hate the Conservatives.  If you join the Conservatives, you are supposed to hate Labour.  How can you join both?  It is like cheering for both England and Argentina when they meet in the World Cup.

#1 for Barcelona for Ciudadanos (our strand of lib-dems), has been a member of the Socialist Party and the Conservative Party before joining up with them

And you'll find many like them over here. Move around until you find a party that will get you elected. "Professional politics" at its worst.
