I forgot to get into the pool, and I want to be the richest languishite and definitely don't want to be left behind, so I decided to buy all those numbers myself. :yeah: What a good idea, but when I printed out the tickets and took them to the store saying "I want 150 tickets with these numbers" the lady wanted to kill me. Also the people behind me in line.  :(

I have to drive to GA soon, to punch you in the balls. LOL

I will not be paying out any prizes totalling less than some number with meaning, to be determined.

In other words, I won't be sending everyone checks for $0.48.

If you have a fairly trivial amount of winnings, just let it ride on some subsequent non-billion-dollar lottery.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Berkut

The overall odds of any one ticket winning are 1 in 25, so we will have about 6 winners.

Those will total, if it is all average, about $25.

Jaron

lol I bet the people at the store thought Berkut was a compulsive gambler.
Winner of THE grumbler point.

Also the LDS Church makes it very clear they do *not* accept tithes from gambling earnings. :contract:

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

That's alot.

We should claim the prize in california since they have pari-mutual prizes.

The most surprising thing is that Berkut didn't take all the money and go to a game store to buy some weird, expensive board game.

Also thanks to my nigga Jaron for buying a share for me. :)

Some people are taking this a bit too seriously...

http://www.fox5atlanta.com/local-news/74158736-story

""We brought them all the way from 292-million-to-1 down to 4,450-to-1 for the whole jackpot. Winning a million dollars is down to 160-to-1 now. So still terrible odds, but great for lotto," Krugman smiled."

It's been a long time since I took a statistics class and I was high for most of it, but I don't think that's how odds work lol

Current estimate payout is 930 million before taxes.

So if we win, that means it is worth about $7,200,000 per share...

Exactly.  After taxes, assuming Languish wins, I'll be sitting on somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-5 million.  More than one share is silly.

Yeah, but we had some fun, didn't we?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
