It's pretty easy to shed one's feet with a suitable chainsaw.

For the last couple of days I've seen a lot of police activity near where I work and live.  Cop cars driving by with flashing lights, and even plenty of state police cars, which usually stay out of Jersey City.  I assumed there was some kind of a terror alert, but actually it turns out that there will be a big football game nearby, and one of the teams is staying in a hotel down the street from my building.

When the military flyover at the start of the game, don't panic and wet yourself.

I'll be fine, unless they put Jericho Trumpets on those jets.

We always got a police escort when I traveled with the Bengals.  Seemed unnecessary in Jacksonville.  There was zero traffic from the stadium to the airport.

My brother watched a cop launch from his motorcycle a few years ago in Baltimore when a motorist ignored the escort :(

  You don't say.

I may or may not have heard about that one, but those guys get clipped all the time.  Last police funeral I attended was for a motorcycle cop I knew rammed by a driver while doing an escort for--you guessed it--a police funeral.

Ideologue

Well, you can't say the escort didn't do its job.

So what do the police do you if you kill a cop?  Are you just executed out in the parking lot and or left hanging on a gibbet?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Muslim organizations in Germany are in uproar.

They're welcome to convert if the Cardinal's esteem is so important to them.
