 Holy crackers, languish! I burned the stuffing out of myself- Mercifully, I was wearing clothing for once, if only underwear, and this partly ameliorated the burn. As clumsy as I am and given how often I manage hot liquid, this was rather inevitable.

The red swelling is pretty bad along the inner thigh, but as I took a cold shower I remembered what I told languish about burn victims and decided to do my best Hanako impression. All in all, its not the worst thing that ever happened to anyone- and it didn't deter me from having my tea & noodles, either.

I learned a new Japanese word last night "hanamisu"
It sounds lovely. Hana= flower. Misu=water.
It brings to mind images of a beautiful woman washing herself in a bath covered in rose petals.....
It actually means though....snot/

 Hana also means nose though, tyr. It makes more sense when you think of it as nose water, doesn't it?

Well yes, of course. Nonetheless the by far most common meaning of hana is flower.
