Fucking South in a nutshell -

Southerner #1 - I'm with you on this, Southerner #2. But it's a much tidier process when the government takes it away and redistributes it to us. ;)

Ank - Last I knew, the South was still a major recipient of federal transfer payments.  Just holler when you want that tap shut off, I can spend that money just as well in my own state.  Just sayin'.

1.  He bitches about politics on FB, when he brought it into a non-political topic -
2.  He bitches about taking and giving, which is pretty funny considering his state (SC gets $1.35 per $1.00 paid in)

Southern fried cognitive dissonance a la North Augusta.

Oh, boo hoo.  Cry when you've lived here and dealt with the exact same kind of shit your whole life and you can't even move because you can't find an out-of-state job in part because of the voting choices of the people you're surrounded by I HATE IT HERE I HATE IT KILL KILL KILL

Well that was nice.  I go outside to have a smoke, and as I'm walking out the back door, I get hit in the head by something....large....with flapping wings and all that.  After ducking and dodging away to the edge of the porch like I'm being shot at, I look back and see this:

This fucking retarded damn bigass moth is slamming itself against the light there and must have freaked out when my dome suddenly appeared right next to it.

Wait what?  What are we talking about?  Where's my dog?

E:  That damn thing is still out there.   I don't want it dumbassing its way inside when I open the door.

Body synthesizes relevant proteins.  And I take a vitamin.

And fwiw, I think I'm probably the lightest straight man on the board. :P

Oh I don't know, I've never considered you that much of a lightweight.
165 pounds?  Or is that some drinking joke?  Because I'm relatively easy drunk too.

I weight less than that.

Lettow77

I weigh less than that as well, despite my best efforts.
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

I bet that guy who runs a marathon every week weighs less too.

Actually I think he said he runs half-marathons 3 times a week. Name is Cecil.

Look up "lightweight" in the dictionary, Ide.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

My sister just called.  From a Gas Station... In East St. Louis.  Her mother in law who is driving her down here is evidently an idiot.

East St. Louis is one of the most dangerous cities in America.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.
