That's what we do here.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

QuoteMy main issue with this kit is that the bag is too heavy for my cat to carry and there is no way to strap it to his back. To be honest it seems like they made this kit for a person or at the very least a very large and strong cat. I tried for several hours to get my cat to carry this kit during our emergency drill and it was pretty much impossible. Also the gloves in the kit are clearly meant for a human and not a cat. Other than that I guess it's a good kit but they need to make everything the proper size for your average american cat.

Oh, FFS, I think I know how the Italian Dad is paying me back.  He put a curse on me.

I'm baking chicken in the oven, and as luck would have it, the temperature sensor in the oven apparently breaks.  The oven is overheated badly, my chicken is burned, and the fire detector in my apartment goes off.  My oven kept beeping for like 5 minutes, warning me that it's too hot, even after I turned it off.  At least my apartment didn't burn down, which given my recent luck, is a win.

I wonder if I can still eat that chicken, though.  :hmm:  I don't think it's undercooked, and I'm really hungry.

That's actually a nifty idea.  I have wondered what I would do with the cats if there was an emergency.  Currently my plan is to throw all three cats in a pillow case, hold my newly found pistol in the other hand and run around the neighbor hood in my boxer shorts screaming gibberish.  While a realistic portrayal of me in an emergency, it's probably not a productive one and I need to iron out some of the bugs in the plan.

Ank - Last I knew, the South was still a major recipient of federal transfer payments.  Just holler when you want that tap shut off, I can spend that money just as well in my own state.  Just sayin'.

1.  He bitches about politics on FB, when he brought it into a non-political topic -
2.  He bitches about taking and giving, which is pretty funny considering his state (SC gets $1.35 per $1.00 paid in)
