Razgovory

I ordered a DVD for my dad as a gift for Father's Day.  I ordered it on Wednesday evening and it got here today.  Ordinary shipping.  That's impressive.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Woot, just scored a ticket to U2 on the 22nd.

Would have been so much better if it was 1988, though.

in his mind it still is

Well, in all fairness, they're on my "Bands To See At Least Once, Just To Say I Did It" list.   Since 1988, yes.  But still.

That's allright. I understand. It's the same as when I saw Floyd in 87...would have preferred it if it was 1972.

Oh, yeah.  There's no better time to see Pink Floyd than before they'd done anything good.  Like, "Echoes"?  It's okay, I guess.

Yeah, but if you wait a few years, at least until Wish You Were Here came out, they'd be even better.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I wanted to see Alice in Chains. But nooooooooo, I was too busy. Then Layne Staley died and I missed out. FOREVER.

I finally did see them with black replacement dude. Not bad at all.

I've been giving my friend Joe shit about that for 20 years.  Didn't want to go see them on the Dirt tour when I scored tickets because "he had homework to do".  And I will give him grief for it for 20 more years.

Yeah, not bad at all.  Just different.  It's all Cantrell anyway.

I once knew a girl who was a crazy Nirvana fan. She wanted to go to Madrid to watch them live in '93, but her father didn't allow her, but promised her that, next time they played in Spain, she could go.

You know how that ended.

Musically, perhaps.

But by 74/75 when they started doing Wish material, they were also playing huge stadiums, especially in North America. See, the reason I picked 72 is cause they were doing great material and playing smaller seated venues of 10,000 or so.
