My dog used to bodyslam the patio door when he wanted to go out.  This was cute when he was a little puppy, but ceased being cute once he started growing, and wouldn't work at all now that he's almost 90 pounds.  We trained him to nose the doorknob when he wanted to go out. :)

:)  Thankfully, since I'm not aware of a way to really train cats, she'll never be big enough to do any damage except with her claws.

She tries to play with the water when I squirt it at her. :weep:

She's scared shitless of those computer duster things ("canned air") though, but I actually use those for stuff, dammit.

Oh damn I forgot about that.  I wonder if it works on cats.

Edit:  Doh, what's the brand name?  I can't find it in your post history.

 Miu! cat thread :3

I never trained my cat. She defecated on my father's head once, and was regularly in the habit of making great gashes in people. This did little to endear her to my friends, who regarded her as fickle and mean. The Missus got a grudging acceptance from the cat, and the cat loved me best- sleeping on my head, seldom scratching me unless I wasn't looking, and so on. It was a real delight to cuddle with her wondering when she would next strike.

Once, she got outside, and was terrified. My father tried to retrieve her, but was very stubborn about holding her after she did all the tell-tale alarums- I was very surprised and dismayed at the considerable amount of blood on the driveway when I got home. She really tore into him but fierce. I felt terrible about it and gave him a hug, thanking him for his gallantry.

The fact that the cat had no friends in the world but me meant that when she went off to college, it was straight to a farmer with her. She wasn't missed by anyone except myself. I wonder if she's doing alright. Ennui was a friend.
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

Oh deer.
At another forum I post at it has come to light that a group of the forum idiots (along with some surprising, otherwise decent posters) have another forum where they bitch about the forum in question and plan trolls.
That forum is gonna die. :(
