Went to the Chinese restaurant again.  They have this Vietnamese Garlic chicken.  I'm addicted to the stuff.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

In WWII 15-20% of US infantrymen fired their weapons in combat.  During Korea that rose to 55%.  During Vietnam it reached 90%.

From an article in the NYT Sunday Magazine on war crimes committed by men of the 5th Stryker Brigade in Afghanistan.

Wonder how that 15 to 20 compares to other countries in WWII.

I've heard of that, it's somewhat controversial.  I forgot the study that was done during WWII.  Do you know the name of the guy who did it Yi?
