I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

This is why I prefer to visit the coastline and live far inland.

Not to mention living inland in Norway gives you more Black Metal bands.

I'm watching old episodes of The Great British Baking Show and a Bedfordshire Clanger was featured.

I wanna make one now.
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

For some reason I always though Americans didn't like meat + pastry.

Yes, but as common food items go, it's mostly meat + bread. Definitely less meat pies, or meat pastries than in the UK.

I've never heard of this. Though sounds awesome.
Shall have to seek it out when next London way.

I don't think you'd ever find it in London, you'd probably need to do a day trip up to Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire (obvs ) to get any.

As a long-term American tourist in the UK, I do love me some meat (well, vegan substitute anyway) pasties.

Cheese/onion also does well in a pinch.

Pasties are one of my all-time favorite meals. I make a myriad different versions of them. Hence my new-found interest in the clanger. :D
