If I say that a newly acquired office chair with "Ergonomic back design with lumbar support" is the most uncomfortable bit of furniture I've ever sat in does this mean that -

(a) The chair's design is faulty?
(b) My back is already beyond redemption?
(c) Something else?

So, this chair finally gave up the ghost under me ("wssssssssh" went the gas) last Thursday after just over 5 years of service.

My replacement chair, costing three times as much because I actually decided to check and buy a chair rated for my weight this time (and have it delivered assembled) arrived a few minutes ago.

I am cautiously optimistic - while I feel that I will miss the extra 5-10cm depth in the seat I had with the old one my immediate reaction is that it is more comfortable in other ways.

So it will probably be a disaster long-term whereas the last one was a success.

That said, it looks like the current White House is ignoring the whole site. There's petitions from 2017 sitting there (like the George Soros one) and there seem to be no replies anywhere.

For the uninitiated, Streak-umm is a real company that sells a real product - pre-processed frozen meat slices for use in making Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.  And @steak-umm really is their corporate twitter account.

But instead of taking about frozen mean, @steak-umm spends most of its time talking about critical thinking and media literacy, intermixed with reminders that they should even be critical of what a frozen meat brand is telling them too.  The most I've ever seen them do to actually promote their product is to re-tweet when other people post something positive to say about their product.

It's very post-modern, very meta, but very interesting to follow.
