Manhattan maybe. The Bronx, no.

Those aren't cities so...

So averaged together, no. The outer boroughs bring you* down.

*yes, aware you're not living there atm.

I would say Manhattan pulls the average up enough to cover any negatives from parts of outer boroughs that most people never go to in New York.

Covering negatives /= "greatest city in the world"

Okay it more than covers them, Mr. picky. :blurgh:

Anyway, basically no city is great if you want to look for blemishes.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The top news story all day has been that one of my colleagues at the central station was attacked and left tied up in a train when he surprised two hooded men doing "suspicious things" at around 4am. The police closed off the entire station and searched for bombs, etc.

It turns out he made it all up. That's going to be one hell of a fine as he's likely to pay for all the trains that was cancelled.

He tied himself up?  :hmm:

Apparently as he was found by two other colleagues who called the police.

So he'd get away with just a fine after that??

No, that's what our company will sue for after they fire him. The police has arrested him for false account or whatever you call it. I don't know what you get for that though.

Why would somebody do that? Even if you have a peculiar sense of humor you must be aware the authorities won't laugh it off and pat you in the back.

Well the dude is caught while tied up, so he makes up some story rather than admitting to whatever else was going on...
