Whatever you do, don't let them give her Coumadin.

Nasty stuff, that.

Very scary, GF.  :(  I hope she'll be fine once she gets to the hospital. Hang in there.

And how old is your oldest these days?  No hemophilia concerns, I hope?

She's 2½. I have none but is it the kind of thing that can declare it self at any age? She's never been sick enough/had any reason to go the hospital since her birth. This is a first.

Why is Coumadin nasty?

I'm sure Mother is freaking out accordingly, and you are talking her down as per SOP.

She did. She's at the hospital with the kid in the waiting room after triage. I am home, waiting for news, because you know, other kid.

I DO NOT DRINK, I HAVE NO ALCOHOL IN MY HOUSE, I need a drink.

I hope everything turns out okay. :console:
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

My oldest is enjoying her first ride an ambulance as we speak.

She should be ok. She has a blood vessel patch close to the skin in her neck. It bleeds easily when disturbed however this time it didn't stop bleeding after 15 mins.

I really hope she's okay, GF.

Why is Coumadin nasty?

Brand name: Coumadin. Generic name: warfarin. It's a blood thinner. Ubiquitous. If you're hemophiliac, though, it'd give you all kinds of problems. It also seems to have goofy interactions with every other thing on the planet. DON'T EAT SPINACH LOL

Oh yeah, my cousin is on that. He's got blood issue in his brain, gotta keep it thin.

Can't eat Brocoli neither.

Right. Negates the effect.

The other big brand is Jantoven.

So basically you have to act like an anti-vegetarian and at every restaurant be like "DOES IT HAVE GREENS IN IT?!?! I CANT EAT GREENS!!!"
Except of course you literally can't. Unlike picky vegetarians.

Back from the hospital with both mom & kid. She's alright. It finally coagulated in the ambulance ride. ER doctor referenced her to dermatology. They said there isn't much to do but apply pressure until it coagulates.

She enjoyed the ride, atleast.
