I don't consider Scotch-Irish to be Irish.

Oh come on.  They have been there for 400+ years.

Not to mention that the Scotti came over from Ireland in antiquity.

For the first time in ages a Dane is being celebrated for doing something of actual worth.

I didn't know Sean Bean was Danish.

I have a bit of Scots-Irish ancestry on my mother's side and I'm told that they most certainly did not like to be compared to those 'other' Irish folks. :)

I've just realised mothers day is tomorrow.

Shit in hell.

I need to quickly think of something to order online- better late than never.
I'm clueless though....

St Pats: I remember back in Sweden a bunch of Americans organised a St Pats party. They said everyone had to wear green, white or orange, colours of the Irish flag, for some reason.
The amount of people who showed up in Netherlands football shirts.
And they didn't realise....

You remind me of Lettow.

What a hurtful thing to say.

Hey - I love St. Patty's Day, and the Irish in general (even though they're going to Hell for following the Red Devil in Rome).

But I'm just celebrating my own heritage.  :)

So is Lettow. :contract:

At least I think he is.  At this point I wouldn't surprised to find out Lettow was a Russian or an Arab or something.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Send her a card in May, blame American imperialism for the delay.
