Something about the governor declaring a state of emergency because of intelligence reports that warned about possible white supremacist terror attacks during a pro gun demonstration, or somesuch.

I've had a fair few Youtube vids pop up of be-flanneled beardie boys discussing the upcoming seizure of their guns by the new governor and the need to organize and resist this perfidy.  Could be all sound and fury, signifying nothing, but if I were in charge I would err on the side of caution.

I've been thinking about the state of the country of late.
It rather seems the class system has shifted from the old upper, middle, working into one of
Upper- rich dudes who will never be in trouble
Working - people have to work and do work, they hold hope of a better world for themselves and others
Lumpen- people who tend away from work. Minimum wage at best with no aspirations of better. They've given up on life and just live day by day. This is a massive area of growth in recent years.

A lot of focus you see is on what to do with the 1%ers. This is a problem certainly. But quite ignored is what to do about the lumpens. Drastically cutting down their numbers (via uplifting, hush down Mr genocide) is the key priority.

I'm not so sure I'd agree there.
A big part of the problem is that this sort of lifestyle is becoming normalised and accepted. Kids see it as something to aim for.
Highlighting that it is a shitty way to live is a potential way to help steer people away from it.
