But what if I want to adjust my bed's position while not at home?

Ask the help?

They were deported.  :(

Oh couldn't afford white ones. :(

White ones are lazy. That's why they switched over a few centuries ago
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Quote from: DGuller on October 23, 2025, 12:19:40 PMThere are situations where it's helpful to monitor your bed while you're not home.

  Go on.
It's nothing scandalous.  For example, let's say you're feeling unwell at work and want to go home early.  You'd be wise to make sure your wife is not in your bed with her boyfriend, because you know that if you walk in on them, it'll take you a week to smooth things over with her.

My kids have some books I'm pretty sure are AI written and illustrated. I can't find any reporting about this though.

I recently saw mentioned in passing in an article that lots of kids' books are AI made. Refused to elaborate though.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Re: kids books, I wouldn't be surprised. If you care, I suppose the answer is to do some research and only buy books where you have a high confidence they're made by actual people.

On X, Eight Sleep CEO Matteo Franceschetti apologized; it's "not the experience we want to provide," he wrote. The brand is now working on "outage-proofing" for future issues. Franceschetti expects that to be done by the end of the day.

Though I guess if you are the sort of person who wears such a thing then surely this is part of the appeal.

There has to come a time, maybe not too long now, where the fad will be to buy something that is entirely offline.

Again I'm amazed at how the world really seems to be heading in the direction of "The Diamond Age".
A big thing in there is regular (poor) people get their needs provided by basic replicators, above them you then have a middle class who actually hand-make things, and then an upper class who want hand-made things.

Also more down to earth yet more evidence for the government needing to setup the tax system to support pubs and live music.
