Speaking of methane...I've heard no progress lately on plugging that Turkmenistan pit. Should really be a priority.

In case you've not seen it before-

For the 2nd afternoon in a row we've had a grass fire in the meadows here, firemen doing a sterling job, but even so, welcome to the new tinder dry future.  <_<

The UK, the new Portugal?  :hmm:  :P

Well needless to say no danger of drying out here this summer  :(

It has been very weirdly wet and "cool" for a central Texas summer. It sort of reminds me of how Summers used to be here in the 1980s, hot but not crazy hot and crazy humid, just with biblically torrential downpours.

That's God's warning to listen to scientists.  But will the Texans hear it...
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

Yep, that's the worry, this can still get a lot more desiccated and the soil turn to dust. :P

*edit* although I assume they don't include China in these rankings
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".

Last I saw 42% of Texans still do not believe human caused Climate Change is happening. A subset of that seems to believe this is all being caused by chem trails and storm seeding and Democrat controlled weather machines though. So at least they notice something bad is happening.

We've been getting Florida-esque afternoon thunderstorms pretty much every afternoon here in Virginia.

I saw crickets in my garden on the weekend.
Yes I live down in the valley whilst my hometown was on top of an exposed hill, could be an explanation there... But still. Growing up crickets were not a thing that existed round here.
A slight positive spin there I guess? At least some species are adapting by shifting their range north?

I live next to the river Ribble in a part which is tidal. This year we have seen little egrets there, which has never happened before https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/little-egret

Nice looking and well-behaved birds   , but it is only recently that they arrived in Southern England and now they are up here. Don't tell Farage!!!

I don't get it. If they believe it's chem trails, storm seeding and Democrats, that's human caused, no?  :hmm: Unless, it's reptilians behind the scenes.

Maybe we are going about climate change education all wrong?
Its not greenhouse gasses and man made climate change that are the problem with your truck, its.... Jewish Taliban gay causing particles in the exhaust. You see the black? Thats what that is. Gay. Woke. Show them you won't be controlled! Say no to ICE!

We've had them here on the river here for around a dozen years now.

Last summer further up the river, at sunset I saw a dozen or more of them 'roosting' in a very small tree, odd sight. :bowler:
