I'll go for Voivodina or Voïvodine, depending on the language.  :P

I normally always side against the Serbians, but now Hungarians are thrown into the mix so I'm unsure.

It is best to read HVC's posts as ill-informed attempts to make a joke.

This post was meant as an ill-informed attempt to make a joke, right?

I thought his post was a well-aimed poke at Tamas, and Tamas seemed to take it the same way (with his pretend over-reaction).

It was a joke in bad taste. I can only assume HVC didn't actually understand the situation.  If he did, I would've hoped he wouldn't have made such a stupid remark.  You came into the thread, swinging knowing how stupid the remark was, but still defended it.

I love the how you have cross-bred contrarianism and virtue signaling!

Keep it up.

This came up on my reddit feed and I was dismayed by how few people bothered to consider that this claim might be bullshit.

They had our feed full of our family and friends and interests and slowly slipped in propaganda and bullshit and got us all to accept it as if somebody we trust told it to us. Very clever big tech.

The UK has been running intelligence flights on Gaza out of Cyprus. This is a recognised fact.

There are lots of reports of Israeli soldiers apparently committing war crimes in Gaza. This is an ongoing investigation.

The only debate is on the UK's role. That is unknown. Maybe it was helping Israel do bad shit. Maybe it was playing a role of sending photos to Israel saying "Look, this is clearly a children's slide outside a daycare, not a rocket launcher, do not fucking bomb it"

Certain people are jumping to kneejerk assuming the worst possible interpretation without evidence, but kneejerk jumping to saying its all completely untrue is even more wrong.

Yeah but the claim wasn't that the UK is flying missions with an unknown purpose. The claim was the UK is flying missions to assist in genocide. The stupidity of that is obvious. For one thing, the more genocidial Israel is in Gaza, the less need they have for sophisticated intelligence gathering to the technological level that they cannot obtain but the UK can (which shouldn't be that much to begin with considering they are right next door).

Love the UK tariff classifcations for imports:

QuoteUK Integrated Online Tariff:

Chapter 88 - Aircraft, spacecraft, and parts thereof

Classification
    Aircraft, spacecraft, and parts thereof

Chapter 88 contains 6 headings. Choose the heading that best matches your goods.

There are important notes for classifying your goods shown further down this page
88
01

Balloons and dirigibles; gliders, hang gliders and other non-powered aircraft

88
02

Other aircraft (for example, helicopters, aeroplanes), except unmanned aircraft of heading 8806; spacecraft (including satellites) and suborbital and spacecraft launch vehicles
88
04

Parachutes (including dirigible parachutes and paragliders) and rotochutes; parts thereof and accessories thereto
88
05

Aircraft launching gear; deck-arrestor or similar gear; ground flying trainers; parts of the foregoing articles
88
06

Unmanned aircraft
88
07

Parts of goods of heading 8801, 8802 or 8806
Chapter notes

When were these first set out, 1906?  :bowler:

edit:

But a bit more seriously, US exports of civilian aircraft over 15 tonnes attracts 0.00% duty, maybe if Trump start imposing sweeping tariffs, this would be a good area to retaliate in and also give Airbus an enhanced competative advantage vs Boeing?

You skipped my last sentence there.

To say outright that the UK is doing this is dumb. To say outright that the UK isn't doing this is also dumb. Its unknown. For sure it doesn't look good though I do hope my interpretation turns out to be the right one (we should know in 80 years maybe. If anyone cares then).
