Nice to see people back :o

Just to follow up on my post about Rahul Gandhi, I see that an education board in India have amended their history curriculum - cutting the Mughals (also Congress periods of early independence). Curriculum is used in different states including Uttar Pradesh (about 250 million people) which is home to the Taj Mahal.

Maybe they'll just adopt stuff like this before long - with an RSS politician claiming the Taj Mahal was not built by Muslims/the Mughals: https://twitter.com/mohd_uved/status/1642915866571579392
Let's bomb Russia!

Hey always glad to see old timers back.

Except Hortlund.

That's bizzare.
In my experience of hinduvata they're usually keen to point to Muslims as the main reason India isn't super wonderful today - over and above the Brits even, the Brits coming being the fault of the Muslims.

German space command officially opened:

"Are we the baddies?" :hmm:

The only thing I find weird in the photo, is that official standard thing, looks very primitive/pagan, something you'd sacrifice virgins too.

The Larch

It launched around the same time as Star Trek TOS with a few parallels, and while much of it is a bit cheesy, it's plot (and interpersonal conflicts) are a bit more sophisticated than you'd think. SF Debris reviewed the episodes a while ago if you want to check it out.

Interesting. Never heard of this. Nice to see somewhere else do the trek /Dr who thing.

Funny that the Germans still put an American in charge. And the enemies are the frogs? :frog:

A very underrated show, especially for its time. And quite progressive. The Captain Kirk type captain had a female boss.

From the "This is a thing that exists" files:

You cannot see attachments on this board.

I find the "Original French tacos" tag to be humorous.

Got to say though. They're pretty good. They started really spreading in Switzerland whilst I was living there and there's even one in Newcastle these days -though oddly much more expensive than in Switzerland.

We have a few "O'Tacos" in Austria. Ordered from them once. Was ok, but not so great I felt the need to order again.

Here's the main website in France: https://o-tacos.com/en/

It's basically fries, breaded chicken, cheese and sauces inside a wrap. If they deep fry the whole thing I think it would do amazingly in Scotland. :P
