Yeah, no way the luggage was going to make it. And you always take your meds in your hand luggage to prevent situations like that one.

Josquius

They did not tell us this. They left us to wait for it as normal.
They did not even say our next flight was going to be hard to catch. We were on the everything is fine list.

Couldn't put the medicine in our hand luggage either as its needles.

I'm pretty sure you can take syringes as long as you properly declare them at security.

Yeah, and you're never told about your luggage not making it ahead of time. Every time my luggage has been delayed I only realized upon arrival after waiting at the belt.

Savonarola

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

I've flown a lot with syringes and their ice pack on a purpose-made hand bag (keeps them cool for up to 36 hours).

I'd simply tell the security staff what they are, show the individual syringes and that was it. Shit's never gone through X-rays either, since I don't know what effect it could have on antibodies and told them so.

You should have a "passport" for the medication from your doctor, but I've only had to show it once. A quick google from the gendarme/staff was more effective.

Once I fucked up the ice-pack routine and the hostess was nice enough to store the syringes in the plane's fridge.

Vince McMahon has changed his look a bit since last year ...  :hmm:

On TV recently:
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

15 years earlier:

I've seen people compare his new look to Mr House from Fallout: New Vegas ... which in turn was based on Howard Hughes - considering the "excentricities" of Vinnie-Mac, I guess choosing this style is appropriate. :P

He looks like John Waters gayer brother.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".

Just learned oysters are still alive when you eat them.

John Malkovich wasn't joking after all.

Josquius

Surely not mussels too?

I am in a complex moral place with them. They are said to be really sustainable and a good thing to eat but you need so damn many on your plate for a meal it feels genocidal

I'm sure the steaming kills the hell out of them.

The Larch

Yeah, most shellfish are dead by the time you eat them, oysters are the odd one out because they're eaten raw.

Holy shit this place still exists!

Hammy! Yes... we still exist, though Elon Musk did consider buying languish and replacing all the posters with Twitter generated AI in an attempt to make us profitable.
