About Fargo.

"It's like Siberia with family restaurants."

"How do you get four drunk Minnesotans out of a pool?  You say, excuse me guys, could you get out of the pool?"

The Brain

Dr Zhivago. Dashing young doctor falls in lust with 17 y/o female Peter O'Toole. War and revolution intervene. Not bad, it's epic and chugs along at a fair pace to keep you interested for 3 hours.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Tonitrus

Strelnikov is the real, albeit tragic, hero of the film.

Josephus

Last episode of Last of Us was pretty intense.
Civis Romanus Sum<br /><br />"My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world." Jack Layton 1950-2011

Wakanda forever - apparently well reviewed.i wonder whether sympathy for Chadwick influenced people.
It's Meh. And really highlights my big problems with the marvel universe as a mishmash of disparate stories. Nemor and the fish Mayans are just so silly.
With wakanda you can suspend belief as it sort of works. But the atlanteans are just silly. Especially to be in the same world as all else.

New series of What we do in the shadows - it's decent. But massive quality drop from the past. And the way the core series plot doesn't really matter.... Meh. I'm smiling but I'm sad.

Out flag means death - its good. Though weird in that episode to episode you never know if it's going to be a really funny one or a not sure it's even trying to be funny plot episode.
Not sure how I feel about the romance development. Good for exposure et al of course but as far as merit of the show goes I liked when it was a cute little bromance thing with undercurrents of not knowing if blackbeard was up to something devious (that development went nowhere and seems cut off now)

The Last of Us just keeps being really bad and I know why, but I keep watching. I actively hate the plot.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Yeah, Wakanda Forever was much worse than the first one (which I quite liked). It's like they forgot how to build a plot, one of those movies where stuff just happens. And yeah, the underwater Mayans were beyond silly.

I rolled my eyes hard when they explained to origin of Namor's name...

Why do you keep watching it? Bored? Or do you secretly love love it and this is like a closeted homophobe watching gay porn situation   :P

I think I enjoy talking about hating it, mostly. Everyone I know watches it and my wet blanket cosplay needs work.

Gotcha. I gave up my hate watching of the rings tv show after 3.5 episodes. Don't think I could make 8 episodes of a show I hated :D

Nevaeh is a gen z name that was popular for a bit, just heaven backwards. But then I remembered that Roman isn't a Spanish/Hispanic name. I was confusing it with Ramon so my theory doesn't work
