Not bombs, just they can explode on their own

@Shelf No they can't, unless they're very poorly maintained.  They have emergency pressure release valves, and as long as you keep it clear of debris it'll prevent that.  The valve even pops up slightly to tell you it'll work once the cooker is under pressure, and I always look for that to happen.

In fairness I also fear slow cookers.

My mother has a pressure cooker, but I'm not sure when she used it last.  I think the fucker's older than I am.

I just remember hearing that thing chugging on the stove like a frigging locomotive, and thinking, "Great...a roast".

How 'bout deep fryers?
Never used one. They also scare me in a domestic setting. I don't mind deep-frying in a wok though.

I also  my rice cooker.

I don't trust anything cooking all day when I'm not home.  Even if she's hot.

My sister's like, "Well, if you don't want to leave the slow cooker on all day when you're not home, why don't you use it at night?"
Like I need to smell onion and potato pot roast at 4:15am.

A pan, some baking paper and an oven :)

Throw in a good book and some music and it's heaven.
