Dept. of Campaign Emails: No CPC media plane

The Conservatives do not want medias to join them on the campaign trail.

The medias will have to move individually to each of their meeting point.

It's a way to communicate only through social media, like the Trump campaign did, and control their message.  They will release clips to the media, showing only what they want to be shown.

It's a cowardly move by a coward.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

I think this might be a good time to rescind the agreement that allows US customs and borders officers to operate on Canadian soil.

Is there some way you can stop them operating on US soil as well?

It would much appreciated.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Given the reports of people being detained at the US border I think that'd be a very good idea. French and British customs and borders officers operate on either side of the Channel - but I think it does depend on both of them working together and following the law. Not sure that sort of agreement can work if one of the countries is trying to impose unequal treaties on its partners.

Spin it as DOGE cost-cutting: US agents are not needed in Canada as travel is down 50%.

Or cancel the treaty at 3 AM and have armed policeman break down their home door to detain them. Either way works.

I haven't seen anything in the global mail about this, it may have been reported elsewhere in Canadian media, but I first saw it in the New York Times. Carney's visit to Europe wasn't just a photo op. We are going to be become part of the European military industrial complex. A gifted Linc for you.

Canadian built Lancaster, Halifaxes and Wellingtons?   :alberta:

More seriously,  reading that article made me think Canada should introduce a deliberate slowdown of arms sales/deliveries to the US eventually amounting a de facto arms embargo, after you wouldn't want those weapons and munition to be used against you in near future?

There's this running joke, that is based on the true story of Quebecers hearing other Quebecers in the craziest spots, that we're like cockroaches and found everything.
