To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Fraggle rock.

Huge gap, but I don't think the fraggles are a very big part of it.

You would have been all over it had the Doozers mined coal rather than worked in construction.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

I was not aware of the huge cultural impact of Fraggle Rock.

I felt so bad for them. Those lazy fraggles eating all their roads.

Why would it be a big cultural gap?  It was a US/UK/Canadian co-production.

I'm going to pretend I didn't read that.

There's a large culture gap between Tyr and people from the UK too.

Just realized I miss sheilbh and Gupta.

Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Valmy

Gupta just recently posted :P

Sheilbh will be back when he is done leading the revolution in Greece

Fraggle Rock was huge in Spain when I was a kid. Love it.

Whenever I have worked in children TV here in Spain it's often brought up as a reference/ripoff material.

Watched a wee bit of "Good Night, and Good Luck," George Clooney-directed BW film about William R. Murrow's TV confrontation with Joe McCarthy.  The performances are fine and everything, but there's just not enough story there for a movie.

It's just 90 minutes long and they still had to make up that rather pointless hidden marriage subplot to pad it out.  :D

But it's a pretty decent watch, imho. Fine performances, cool B/W photography.

I am the superhero movie, look on my works, ye mighty, and despair.

And this doesn't even include the Lego Batman flick, or the undated but confirmed standalone Batman flicks.

What's the one in July of 2018?
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.
