Yeah, I liked Unknown too, but not as much as I liked Taken.  There's just something about Liam Neeson that makes me enjoy watching him terrorize Europe.  Bruno Ganz's Stazi character was a small-ish role, but very well-done.
Oh yeah I should have mentioned Ganz, he was my favorite part.

This one lacked the constant flash Bang of Taken. There was a casualness to the whole Unknown story that wasn't as gripping as Taken.
:p

:D

Neeson was made for the middle-aged-dad-on-a-revenge-binge role.

that's wrong I'll watch anything with Dr Alice Roberts in it.

She kinda looks like you.

   to infinity.

Me:
Ne'er-do-well  balding male, fast exiting his 40s.

Her:
Talented academic and gifted communicator in her mid 30s, happily married, looking after herself.

The only points of slight similarity I see is wearing scruffy jeans/trousers and activity shoes/boots.

That's the same woman from the first photo?  :hmm:
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

She has a very endearing slight educated South Gloucestershire accent, a nice interview that show that off well:

Considering "women who look after themselves" and "sandals" disqualify one another, you're back to two.

Oh and I don't own sandals, haven't used the since a child.

I don't think sandals would be safe in the sort of cycling I do, at the very least my feet would be scratched to death.

Viking

Watched the falling skies pilot. Had high hopes, Spielberg producing, actors with name recognition suggests that somebody put some thought into it. I will not watch again.

Flaws are too numerous to mention but include

- bratty "cute" kid that needs to be killed
- supposed expert in military history falls for the hand over your guns or we kill the hostage trick
- large body of civilians standing out in the open in daylight with aliens flying about
- generally suicidal behavior in the presence of aliens with predator type weapons

Basically every single scene had me getting more and more pissed off about how stupid everybody was. If this is the best humanity has to offer in the face of an alien invasion humanity will deserve the destruction their rank stupidity deserves.

Guy gets shot by alien death machine, what do you do? Oh, yes, drop your gun run over to the guy who got shot loudly, stop, and see if he really is as dead as he looks, guaranteeing that you get killed and if he is playing dead he gets killed as well. But, given that all these idiotic characters survive I must surmise that the aliens are moronic idiots as well... so.. I've got better things to do.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Which dvd to watch, 'Drive Angry' with Nicholas Cage or 'The Rites' with Anthony Hopkins.

Recommendations quick, oh and I didn't choose them myself.  <_<
